The movie recounts the events following the terrorist attacks of April 15, 2013 when two pressure cooker bombs exploded 12 seconds apart near the finish line.
Peter Berg directs Mark Wahlberg as Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders as he is caught up in the hunt for the bombers.
Kevin Bacon also stars as Special Agent Richard Deslauriers, John Goodman as the Police Commissioner and Michelle Managhan as nurse Carol Saunders.
Patriot’s Day follows one of the most advanced man hunts in history and pay tribute to the community spirit of Boston as the city’s inhabitants are drawn together in adversity.
The movie opens in Boston, New York City and LA on December 21st this year with the a wider release from January 13th, 2017.
