Crummy Crummy Crummy movie. Only occasionally funny. Not equal to Shrek or any Pixar film. Definately not worth ticket price, though you might want to see it on DVD.
The penguins were great, but not in the film as much as the trailers might hint. Too bad.
Characters were dumb. The character plot shifted several times in the film, which was confusing. I'm still trying to figure out who the main character was: Alex or Marty? The Lemurs were just plain dumb, and the only laugh I got out of them was the 'ITS A COOKBOOK!' remark.
Dumb movie. Not worth it. No where near the quality of the Incredibles or Monsters Inc. Why go see this movie in theaters when you can see Star Wars?
This movie is really funny! It is for anyone of age to see.It has some outgoing and funny characters. It starts in Central Park Zoo with Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock),Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller),Gloria the Hippopotamus (Jada Pinkett-Smith),Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer),and 4 Penguins. It starts out where Marty meets the penguins who are trying to escape and they talk to Marty and afterwords Marty wants to go to the WILD!He tells the others and they aren't to stoked about it.So that night Marty escapes the zoo and the others try to find him and get caught by the police. The next day they are being sent to...MADAGASCAR!Where they, except Marty, hate it.They meet some friends while they are there, they are the Lemurs, some very funny and outgoing fellas!
I wish I could tell you the whole thing, but I can't,escpecially if you haven't seen it!
Ben Stiller (“Meet the Parents”), Chris Rock (“Chris Rock Never Scared”), David Schwimmer (TV’s “Friends”) and Jada Pinkett Smith (“Collateral”) star as the voices of four zoo animals who hang ...more
