I echo the sentiments of the other posters. Your grip on the facts from the film are flimsy at best. You've been asked 'Did you actually watch the film?' and I have to wonder as well as your review is far too favourable.
John Cusack was terrific as the cynical writer and completely unbelievable as the tortured victim. He pulls off 'tormented' better in High Fidelity than he does in this schlock. Haven't past attempts proved Stephen King's short stories are better off as they are?
