Back in writing school did anyone ever teach you how to review a movie?
Simply telling us what you saw is not a review btw.
I don't need a step by step of what happened on screen. Just give us a honest review of the movie.
maybe you had a word count quota to fill. I don't know but a real review is what I came for.
too bad I didn't see one

better luck next time
Nice to see you enjoyed the free movie. Others have to pay, even more will download.

Ouch! Such 'Venom' so early on. Review was just posted.

To DC: - 'review' - to appraise critically. How critical would you like me to get? I liked the movie and identified strengths and weaknesses.

To double u tf - I am not the first to write that Franco's character dies. It is in many of the articles that talk about the future of the Spider-Man series. Sorry if you read it here first.

But thanks for reading folks. If you'd like to 'flame' me further, I suggest you take it into M&C's Forums.

When your going to reveal something that is not known from the previews make sure to warn people! You just gave a brief overview of the movie and not a review...

I think the Spiderman franchise should have stopped after the first movie. Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst (I'm not even going mention Franco) are two of the WORST actors I can think of - I'm still trying to figure out how Dunst keeps getting roles! It's shameful that the 'average' American who buys into this brain-dead 'entertaiment' is keeping the 'sequel industry' alive. Afterall, Jennifer Lopez is still successful - how the hell does that happen??????

You know what would make for REAL entertainment? Someone needs to put a bullet in the skull of your President.

WOW!...if you all know how to read, which obviously, you don't, at the beginning of the article it says (IN BOLD! u ignorant...!)...

(Caution: Spoiler(s) below)

Bigger warning then that you can't get. I always thought, you read an article from top to bottom but i guess nowadays everyone has their own style. It was a good review Scott.

Good review of the movie. It gave a summary of the movie and what he thought what else do you want, comments on lighting or the acting, it's spiderman. Also right at the top of the article it says that there are spoilers below, how much more warning do you need.

It would been an awesome review if you just said 'VENOM DIES!'

I don't need your stinking feedback you weasels, so go read a review somewhere else if you don't like it.I'm moving on to my favorite subject - Mighty Ducks Hockey.Have any of you ever seen the NHL Mighty Duck player Brad May? He makes all movie stars including Spidey look like they were beaten with the ugly stick. His long flowing curls, his sucker punching innocent players in the back of the head, wow, I have a serious mancrush! If only he was a figure skater instead of a hockeyplayer he would be perfect.

James Franco dies, get over it. Everyone does some day, just in this case he happens to die an untimely death, drowning in the Hudson River wrapped in webs. Its a movie, get over it.Move on to more important subjects, like Brad May.

I still remember back in the good ol days before I started doing nothing but eating popcorn and candy, watching movies. Can you believe at one time I was skinny enough that I could still see my own junk? Them were the days. You really all should quit your whining. I stand by this review.I had my 'friend' Steve with me at the film screening, he is a legal secratary, so he took shorthand notes of the entire movie. So my original plan was just to put the entire script of the movie up, but instead opted to summarize it. So you should really be thanking me, not complaining.

Enough is enough time to move on guysI didn't want to know your sexual orientation (name of person impersonating author of review).
You could of left out the Steve the Legal Secretary out of your comments.Scott is not entirely to blame, most reviewers nowadays don't actually review but just give away the movie.
It's a free country. Don't like someone's review, many more out there. Find someone you respect and done.Nice to see that the spoilers note was added after some comments regarding such.See the movie for yourself and then checkout the web for info. You won't be disappointed then

DC is right...May 2nd, 2007 - 08:00:51

Movie critics actually used to review movies and offer constructive -- and or destructive -- criticism. These days 3/4th's if not more of a typical movie 'critic's' review is just a recitation of the plot. You could learn a lot by reading early reviews by Ebert and even Rex Reed. This review was 90% plot description and 10% critique...

...read Anthony Lane's witty review. Night and day difference in the quality of writing. Sorry, just my two cents.
