how come we don't hear move oscar buzz about this movie!
frankly-i'm tired of hearing about dreamgirls or borat.
both good movies but not great.
THIS IS THE MOVIE TO SEE!
it is heartfelt and makes you think.
clive owen is superb.
hope it gets some nod's.
Blame Universal Pictures, who decamped from a prime oscar release date (early November)after a middling review of the unfinished movie, they then dumped it on Christmas Day (US) and didn't bother promoting it - too late a release date and no support fom the studio = no oscars, well I tell a lie there, Lubecki will DEFINATELY WIN THE OSCAR for Cinematography, but that is small potatoes when it should get Picture, Director (Cuaron), Actor(Owen), Supporting Actress (Ashitey) and Supporting Actor (Caine), Adapted Screenplay, Editing, sound Editing and Score nominations as a minimum.
In my opionion it should also win Picture, Director, Actor, Supporting Actress, Adapted Screenply, Cinematography, Editing, Sound Editing.
This was an amazingly distrubing movie.
