It was very reminiscent of Bar Fly, and I did not know at the time
that it was by the same author.

Dillon made this movie what it was - worthy.

It is easy to label Dillon's character as a dropout. However, it is
easy to see given his chosen profession and given his desire to do
it his way, and given no external influences on his work, and given
his appeal to certain women, and given his liking of booze, and given
his non-conformist attitude, how easy it was to slip into this lifestyle.
