Supercross: kept my 6 year old, never rode a motor bike attention for the full 81 minutes because it dynamically invited me into real races (couldn't ever have done that with staging - thanks Clear Channel), the actors accurately depicted todays kids dialogue (criticise the kids not the actors or script) and actions (wherever it's sunny & hot people do wear short shorts and take off their shirts and uni's) and displayed the no-rest aggressiveness a Supercross/Motorcross competitor must have to survive.
By the way, imbedded advertising has been with us for a while (PGA Tour, stadiums, TV and movies) and the 30 second commercial is on its way to being extinct ....amazing how critics didn't recognized this ! If a critic knows nothing about kids, bike racing, intense competion or hates Clear Channel, just maybe he should recuse himself from doing a review !!! I heard Gnarly 1 time !!!
All the nit-picking of the critics aside (none of which even remotely affected my enjoyment of the movie) it took me into the Supercross world and should be compared with its genre (not Gone With the Wind) and for a exciting family (lots better than most TV) action movies. One of the best movies I've seen in a
while ... I rate it 'A'
