From Monsters and Critics.com Movies News Legendary Pictures has signed Jayson Rothwell to write the thriller flick "The Mountain." Variety reports Roy Lee and Doug Davison's Vertigo Entertainment is set to produce the film with Brian Witten (through Witten Pictures). The film follows a sheriff from the inner city who puts together a search party to find missing hikers and discovers the dangers of wilderness. Rothwell just finished up duties on "Fort Knox" and "Invaders" for Warner Bros. He is currently working on "Glass Books of the Dreameaters" for Warner Bros. and Johnny Depp's Infinitum Nihil. Legendary Pictures has several films in the works including "Paradise Lost," "Warcraft" and "Kung Fu." It is a partner in Warner Bros.’ "Watchmen," "Ninja Assassin" and "Clash of the Titans."
