From Monsters and Critics.com Movies News MMC Independent is set to co-produce Stephen Frears' upcoming romantic drama Cheri with Michelle Pfeiffer signed to star. The co-production deal was signed on May 13th by Hamori and Ralf Schmitz, CEO of Cologne-based studio MMC in the presence of Andreas Krautscheid, North Rhine-Westphalia's state minister for federal and European affairs, at the state chancellery in Dusseldorf. Cheri (an adaptation of the 1920s novel by French author Colette) focuses on the aftermath of a romance between a middle-aged woman and a wealthy younger man.
