From Monsters and Critics.com Movies News Rapper Common has signed to join Christian Bale and Sam Worthington in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins for Halcyon Pictures. Variety reports the film (which is reportedly being aimed at a PG-13 rating) will be directed by McG from a script by John D. Brancato & Michael Ferris and Paul Haggis. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. domestically with Sony handling the film in most foreign territories. Producing duties on the film are handled by Dan Lin, Mortiz Borman, Victor Kubicek, Jeff Silver, Derek Anderson and Jeanne Allgood. The movie is expected to be on the big screen by May 22, 2009. The plot follows John Connor (Bale) - who is now in his 30s and leading what is left of the human race in a war against the machines. Common has signed to play a freedom fighter and member of Connor’s trusted inner circle. The rapper will also appear in the upcoming action flick Wanted – which will also feature Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy.
