Rick Yune is the Wachowskis’ 'Ninja'

Rick Yune has signed to play the antagonist in the Wachowskis-produced Ninja Assassin – which James McTeigue is directing for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.

The martial arts flick will feature Korean actor-singer Rain (who has a role in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Speed Racer) and is being produced by action master
Joel Silver. Grant Hill is also producing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will also feature Naomie Harris in a female lead role and Ben Miles.

In the film, Rain will star as a man brought up in an orphanage functioning as a ninja farm. He comes in conflict with a ninja (Yune) from the clan when he turns his back on tradition to join the modern world.

In The Hollywood Reporter, Yune stated: "Not to give too much away, (but) my character stays within what he was brought up with, and they go up against each other. I'm not a heavy. The characters are ninjas, they are assassins, and there's this mix of morality the Wachowskis are exploring."
