With Superman Returns settled in and Star Wars wrapped up, Batman Begins sequel rumors are fast becoming the new geek-crack on the internet. We’ll report them for you, but don’t take any of them too seriously.

For instance, the latest rumor comes from Batman On Film, a site dedicated to those sort of un-confirmable rumors. They say that sometimes folksy actor Josh Lucas may be in the running to join the cast of the next Batman flick. Who would he play? A villain of course.

Lucas is reportedly in the running to take on the criminal role of Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face. If he takes the job, he’ll have to agree for at least two movies, probably because the next Batman movie will focus on Joker while setting up Dent to be the main baddie in the third of the new era in Batman on film. For the second movie though, Dent (as Gotham’s District Attorney) will team up with the Dark Knight to fight Joker.

Josh Lucas can be seen in theaters next week in the basketball movie ‘Glory Road’. He’s currently busy filming the summer disaster flick ‘Poseidon’.
