Not long ago Sean Connery declared himself done with the foolishness of Hollywood, and stomped off into a well-earned, old age retirement. Well sort of. Actually, he's only sort of done with the entertainment industry. He may not be acting in Hollywood, but he's busy working in Scotland in the world of animation.
The venerable Mr. Bond has joined forces with Glasgow Animation to form a start-up company called Billi Prods. With the aim of producing an animated short film called 'Sir Billi the Vet'. The short will feature Sean's first ever voice work, as he plays the title character Sir Billi.
The short is the story of Sir Billi and his pet goat who thinks he's a dog (voiced by Alan Cumming), setting out on an adventure in the Scottish highlands to rescue a rabbit. Not a bad way to spend your retirement.
