From Monsters and Critics.com Movies News Sigourney Weaver and Ioan Gruffudd have been cast in the indie satire The TV Set. The Hollywood Reporter says the pair will join David Duchovny, while Lucy Davis and Judy Greer are stills in talks to star. The TV Set will follow Dave (Duchovny), who has a pregnant wife, a skinflint mother and a lot of expenses. He should be happy that he has just sold a television pilot. But the path to the production includes a tumble down a rabbit hole of dimwitted executives, talentless stars and micro-managing suits who seem determind to remove any hint of creativity out of Dave's work. Weaver will play the network boss and Gruffudd a BBC exec who joins the network. Filming is due to start later this month. © Copyright 2007 by monstersandcritics.com.
