Dakota Fanning and Kris Kristofferson Join Cast of Dreamer

The movie is inspired by a true story about a Kentucky horse trainer and his 11-year-old son (changed to daughter) who rescue a horse with a broken leg. The two then help nurse the animal back to health and take it to race in the Breeders' Cup.
Russell plays the horse trainer with Fanning as his daughter, Kristofferson will play the father of the horse breeder.
Fanning was recently seen in "Man on Fire" and "The Cat in the Hat".
Kristofferson is next to be seen in John Sayles' "Silver City", and is also back in his role of Whistler in New Line Cinema's "Blade: Trinity", out this December.
