Samantha Morton May Play Diane Arbus

Arbus, considered one of the leading American photographers of the last century, was known for creating images which were both striking and disturbing. She said that she liked to photograph people who were different, society's so called freaks. She committed suicide in 1971.
The independent film will be directed by Steven Shainberg (Secretary), who is an avid collector of American photography. The screenplay, by Erin Cressida Wilson, will be based on Patricia Bosworth's book "Diane Arbus: A Biography."
