Stephen Sommers to Remake Les Victimes

Universal Pictures subsiduary, Sommers Company, has picked up the film rights to French-language classic "Les Victimes", by Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac. Stephen Sommers ("Van Helsing", "The Mummy"), Frederic Golchan and Bob Ducsay will produce the movie.
The novel, originally written in the 1950s, follows a web of intrigue encountered by a book editor when he trails his married lover and her husband out of the country on business.
Elisa Bell ("Sleepover", "Vegas Vacation", "Little Black Book") has been hired to adapt the screenplay and bring it up-to-date.
