Bale and Zahn in POW adventure

Christian Bale and Steve Zahn have been cast in Werner Herzog's Rescue Dawn.The movie tells the real-life story of an German-American fighter pilot shot down and captured in Laos during Vietnam. Bale will play Dengler and Zahn one of his fellow prisoners, who joins him in a daring escape.has directed a feature since 2001's Invincible. In addition to "Rescue," he's also on board to helm an untitled soccer feature. His new documentary, Grizzly Man, will be released on August 12th.Variety reports filming will start next month in Thailand.
