Tommy Lee Jones heads home to the prairie

Tommy Lee Jones has signed on to the cast of Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion.
Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, John C. Reilly, Woody Harrelson, Lily Tomlin, Maya Rudolph and Lindsay Lohan have already signed up.
The film will follow the ensemble of performers and back-stage crew as they prepare for the final live broadcast. Passions rise as the stage manager tries to keep the show on the road while a menacing stranger waits in the wings. Streep and Tomlin will play sisters and Lohan an innocent actress.
Variety reports Jones will play the man hired by a Texas conglomerate that has bought the show and plans to close it down.
