Virginia Madsen and L.Q. Jones join Prairie Home

Virginia Madsen and L.Q. Jones have been cast in Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion.The Hollywood Reporter says Madsen will play a dangerous woman, with Jones playing a regular musician on the show.Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, John C. Reilly, Woody Harrelson, Lily Tomlin, Maya Rudolph and Lindsay Lohan have already signed up.The film will follow the ensemble of performers and back-stage crew as they prepare for the final live broadcast. Passions rise as the stage manager tries to keep the show on the road while a menacing stranger waits in the wings. Streep and Tomlin will play sisters and Lohan an innocent actress.
