Daniel Radcliffe cast as orphan in December Boys

Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, has been cast in an adaptation of Michael Noonan's novel December Boys.
The story follows the adventures of four orphans spending their Christmas holiday at an Australian seaside settlement in the late 1960s (moved from the book's 30's setting).
Radcliffe will play the oldest orphan as they compete for the affections of a childless couple keen to adopt a son. Radcliffe's character will also have his first love affair.
Teresa Palmer has also been cast.
