Tobey Maguire may take on mute role

Tobey Maguire is in negotiations to star in New Line Cinema's romatic comedy Quiet Type.
The Hollywood Reporter says Maguire will also produce with Michael London.
The story follows an unassuming mute from a small town who moves to New York in pursuit of his dreams of conducting an orchestra. It seems the fact the character remains mute all the way through the film attracted the actor to the role.
