Camilla Belle takes lead in When a Stranger Calls

Camilla Belle has been cast as the lead in a remake of 1979 horror When a Stranger Calls for Sony's Screen Gems, reports Variety.
Simon West ("Con Air") is to direct from a script by Jake Wadewall, with an eye on a possible sequel called "When a Stranger Returns."
The story concerns a babysitter who receives multiple calls asking her if she has checked on the children. At first she thinks these are from the parents but later fins out from the police they are coming from the house...
