Sylvester Stallone to direct biopic on Edgar Allan Poe

Sylvester Stallone will direct a film about the life of horror writer Edgar Allan Poe.
Variety reports that Stallone wrote story and it will track the often-volatile life Poe had. Suffering as he did from bouts of madness and depression.
The trade says Robert Downey Jr. is Stallone's first choice for the part of Poe, with filming due to begin later this year in Europe.
Poe write such classic as The crimes of the Rue Morgue, The pit and the pendulum and The Raven.
