Ashanti cast in John Tucker Must Die

Singer Ashanti has signed up for 20th Century Fox's John Tucker Must Die.
The film is a sort of high school version of The First Wives Club. It follows three girls from different sides of the tracks who gang up to get revenge on the school stud, who has previously broken all their hearts. To this end they set up with the new girl in town so she can give him some of his own medicine.
The Hollywood Reporter says Ashanti will play one of the three girls.
Jesse Metcalfe, Sophia Bush and Brittany Snow are already cast.
