While I love Robert Rodriguez movies, what is Warner Bros. thinking letting John Milius leave? Do they not remember the pg Conan the Destoyer? I don't mind a new actor playing Conan, but please can we keep the R rating that Robert Howard's pulp character deserves.

Milius was, I think, taking his time, meanwhile the fantasy film craze is still hot. I'll bet they didn't want to miss it.

I think this is a great idea. In the search to cast King Conan Rodriguez should remember that Conan has an imposing demeanor one look and you pee yourself.
Arnold was too goofy for Conan ! This new take should be done with all the care it deserves ! Like 300 or the Lord trilogy it must be carried off in a very serious nature. Never make Conan Goofy. The co-stars and extras should move the humor of the films content along. He is also a Giant amongst men ! So a guy about 6 feet 6 inches would be impressive enough. This man should be powerful looking but not so much like a gym rat bodybuilder type Muscles are important because much of Howards desriptions explained that Conan had corded muscles and Giant shoulders this fellow should also have kind of a Scottish or Irish appearance somewhat like the actor from Braveheart or Sin City, the guy with the huge scar on his cheek. find a big rough looking craggy faced guy and you have your Conan ! Good luck Robert ! Now....Get to work!

Washed up California politicians, who were once actors, have no business in the movies. I don't want to see Arnold as Conan...I don't want to see Clint Eastwood as Conan. Hopefully Robert Rodriguez will introduce some new blood into this film. I think he should collaborate with that DeStasio guy!

I just read some distressing news fellas, The guy they asked to write the screenplay writes girly tearjerker date movies and romantic comedies.
We can't have this we need someone who relates to Conan and the feel of the grim world that he lived in. We do not need another 'Destroyer' stinky comedy flop. Roy ! Where are you when we need you most ? HEEEELP !

I have the perfect Conan, The Undertaker from WWE! he would be perfect.
He has the size the presence and he fits into the age bracket of Conan at
the time in his life when he becomes a KING !
The Tatoo's you say ? Hollywood magic ! CGI or make up can easily
rectify any situation these days !

You aint kidding! Instead of Puh Honixx on the SWOORD they should do black river! What a film that would be with the whole treatment cgi and gritty gore soaked swordfights I still think the UNDERTAKER from the WWE would make an awesome CONAN make up and cgi could cover up the tats.

You know - if Sylvester Stallone could get some voice coaching - deepen it a bit, he'd be perfect for the old King Conan. He has the body type that is needed - thick, muscled and looks the part of an old warrior. The only thing going against him is his size. He is a bit on the small size in the height department.

For the way Conan was penned by Howard, immensely powerful man with defined corded muscles and wide shoulders are only part of the picture. What's needed is a large man - 6'2', 6'3' or there abouts (Howard used himself as a model for the character, at least partially and he was a big man) who is a good actor with serious screen presence, not some delicate Arnold body builder type with the waist of a little girl nor some stupid Wrestling hack. They need someone with a thick neck and muscled barrel like torso balanced on tree trunk legs, with dark features set with steel blue eyes - this is what is really needed to carry out the role. Someone in his mid to later forties or early 50s at minimum.

Javier Bardem, Chigum from No Country for Old Men comes to mind screen presence wise - if he was to muscle up dramatically and be aged accordingly - he could pull it off. He has that kind of menacing look about him, but in person is warm enough an actor to fill a wide range of emotions - but is probably too young to pull it off. And am not sure how tall he is.

Anyway - Just my two bits.

I tink the conan movie should be some what like the comic book in the comic books conan is a man who don't play with his enemy. he kills them anyway he see fix. what i'am saying let conan be conan. Conan is a warrior who will snap necks, chop heads, break bones, slices your guts out,run his blade throw your heart, slices off a arm or leg. I tink this new conan movie should be made conan way with nudity in all the blood spilling and a story line fix for warrior king like conan
