Star Wars fever is sweeping the country in anticipation of the upcoming worldwide premiere of the final installment in the celebrated saga, and confusion over when fans can catch the film and where is bordering on intergalactic! First fans were lining up at the wrong theater in Los Angeles, and now there’s an outcry on Star Wars fan sites that Europeans will get to see the film first! In an effort to set the record straight, some news from those spending their days and nights prepping for the final Star Wars film to land here on earth:
Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith will be premiering in 10 U.S. cities on Thursday, May 12th. As is George Lucas and Lucasfilm Ltd.’s tradition, all 10 May 12th U.S. premieres will benefit children’s charities. New York City’s premiere at the legendary Ziegfeld Theater will benefit Paul Simon’s charity The Children’s Health Fund, in L.A. all premiere proceeds will go toward Artists for a New South Africa, and San Francisco ‘s premiere will benefit Koret Family House. Other May 12 premiere cities include Washington D.C., Denver, Seattle, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Dallas.
