Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds to be Remade

Universal Pictures is looking to remake Alfred Hitchcock's classic The Birds.
The Hollywood Reporter says the new version would be based on the short story by Daphne Du Maurier that inspired the original horror about birds that terrorise a town.
Michael Bay is in talks to produce with Peter Guber via his Mandalay Pictures banner.
This would not be Universal's first Hitchcock remake, they remade Psycho in 1998...
