Hugh Dancy to Star in Rwandan Genocide Movie

One million dead in one hundred days
Actor Hugh Dancy (Galahad in King Arthur) is to join John Hurt in the cast of "Shooting Dogs". The movie documents the genocide that took place in Rwanda in 1994. When the Hutu's massacred one million Tutsis. This conflict between ethinic groups led to some of the most horrific acts of violence seen in modern history.

Hurt play a priest who befriends a young teacher. They must decide whether they have the courage to stay in the country as violence erupts.

The film began shooting on location last month, using survivors as extras and crew. Ironic maybe that this film is being shot just now given that its sequel is perhaps taking place in nearby Chad as they film....
