By James Wray Apr 15, 2005, 4:43 GMT
Hollywood actor Bruce Willis has been made an officer in the Order of Arts and Letters, one of France's major cultural awards.
Willis received the award from the country's Culture Minister who said the award was homage to "the power of emotions that he invites us to share on screens throughout the world."
The Die Hard star, who was in Paris to promote his new film Hostage, then thanked France for what he said was a great honor.
The award is given for achievement in artistic endeavors.
