Nicholson, Quaid and Freeman Keep the Last Flag Flying

Jack Nicholson and Randy Quaid are looking to star in a sequel to the 1973 adaptation of Darryl Ponicsan's "The Last Detail."
Variety reports that Morgan Freeman would take on the role of Mule' Mulhall played by Otis Young (died 2001) in the first film. With the screenplay being adapted from Ponicsans unpublished sequel "Last Flag Flying."
Quaid told the trade that the movie would revisit the characters in the new location of a bar Nicholson's character runs.
The three actors are said to be awaiting the final script before signing up.
