Spike Lee May Direct New Ellroy Thriller

It is based on an original screenplay by James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential ,The Black Dahlia) and tells the story of a cop who discovers corruption and must redeem himself by exposing it.
The film has been lined up before, back in the late 1990's, when Brad Pitt was rumoured to be interested.
James Ellroy's other books include The Big Nowhere and American Tabloid. Details in the links on those ones.
