Spierig Brothers Talk Vampires with Daybreakers

Undead will get a limited US release in July |
Following up on the zombie exploits in "undead" this time they are set to tackle vampires.
“[We] just finished the next draft [for Daybreakers] and are about to deliver it to Lions Gate,” the pair says. “Everyone’s very excited about it. The film is much darker and far more serious than Undead. It’s about a world dominated by vampires,” they told the magazine.
It seems "Daybreakers" is set where vampires rule the world but have a problem. They have nearly wiped out the human race on whom they feed. They face starvation and madness if humanity should die out...one man discovers a solution...they must become human again.
The film is slated for a 2006 release.
"Undead" was on limited release in the UK earlier this year and will be released in the US July 1. You can read more about that film in our database.
