Michael Moore Invites President Bush to Screening
By James Wray Jul 28, 2004, 2:07 GMT
Michael Moore has arranged for a screening of his blockbusting documentry Fahrenheit 9/11 to be shown in George Bush's home town of Crawford.
Apparantly a theatre in nearby (I think, US geography not my strong point) Waco picked it up last week. But Moore was determined it be shown in the town.
Anyway to cut a long story short. It will be screened Wednesday night at a football stadium parking lot. Police expect demonstrators against the film to appear.
A resident said, "I personally think we're just a little town, and it's kind of an invasion in our small town." She also said that she would prefer it did not show.
However, Moore is never one to let an opportunity for news coverage go by and the event will go ahead.
He posted the invite to the President on his site, thanking him for 'taking part'. He said, "And let's face it, you've got some of the funniest lines in the film!"
Seems this machine just keeps rolling!
