Steven Soderbergh to Direct The Good German

Variety reports Section Eight will produce for Warner Bros. Pictures.
The story concerns an American journalist who finds himself drawn into a murder mystery when he returns to post-WW II Berlin in search of his wartime mistress.
Paul Attanasio adapted the screenplay from Joseph Kanon's book.
The film, which might be shot in black and white, is due to start in the fall.
