Kenneth Branagh Back to Shakespeare

Kenneth Branagh has been set to direct a movie version of Shakespeare's play "As You Like It," being backed by HBO.Variety says they will move the story forward to the late 1800's with Kevin Kline and Bryce Dallas Howard starring.Unjustly deposed by his younger brother, the rightful duke retreats to the Forest of Arden and forms a utopia with his loyal followers while his daughter remains at court as a companion to her cousin. When forbidden romance enters their lives, the girls assume disguises and flee to the forest, where they encounter a magical world of friendly outlaws and wise fools. Howard has been cast as Rosalind and Branagh may have a small part as well, as Touchstone. Other casting includes Jimmy Yuill, David Oyelowo, Adrian Lester and Brian Blessed.Filming is set to begin late April in the UK.
