Paul Haggis Writing For Eastwood Again

Screenwriter Paul Haggis ("Million Dollar Baby") is set to write, direct and co-produce drama "Death and Dishonor" for Warner Bros. Pictures.Variety reports the film is based on a Mark Boal investigative article that appeared in Playboy last summer, Death and Dishonor is a gritty fact-based drama about a career officer who searches for his soldier son. The youth, who went AWOL after returning from Baghdad, was murdered by members of his platoon after a night out in Georgia.Haggis plans to fictionalize the story into a murder mystery that will deal with the horrific battlefield experiences that the soldiers faced, head-on.Haggis is writing with Clint Eastwood in mind to play the officer, Lanny Jones.
