Darren Aronofsky to Direct Watchmen

This is not the first time this has been attempted. Back in 1989 Sam Hamm wrote a draft script that was never taken any further. You can read that script here. No casting details as yet but we will keep an ear to the ground on this one.
Seems the studios cannot get enough of comic book based screenplays at the moment. Though around half of them fall flat on their face. Still there have been a few gems amongst the Catwoman type affairs.
