Cate Blanchett to Present at Oscars

Academy Award®-nominated actress Cate Blanchett will be a presenter at the 77th Academy Awards ceremony, telecast producer Gil Cates announced today.
Blanchett is nominated for an Academy Award for her supporting role in "The Aviator." She received her first Oscar® nomination in 1998 in the Leading Actress category for her performance as Queen Elizabeth I in "Elizabeth."
Blanchett's other film credits include "Veronica Guerin," "Charlotte Gray," "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2004 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland®. The Oscars will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST, beginning with a half-hour arrivals segment
