The Hollywood Reporter says the film centers on a talented young actor who moves to Los Angeles in the 1980s to pursue his dream of movie stardom. The twist comes in the shape of his strong resemblance to another up-and-coming actor named Brad Pitt.
As the real Brad Pitt becomes a super star, the budding Schmidt becomes a comic joke. He must abandon his dreams and get to grips with life's harsh realities.
Steve Conrad wrote the screenplay.
Meanwhile the real Brad Pitt can next be seen in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," where he stars with Angelina Jolie.
