Aviator Team Tackle Kurosawa

Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio and screenwriter John Logan, the team behind "The Aviator," are in talks to remake Akira Kurosawa's 1948 classic "Drunken Angel" for Warner Bros.
The Hollywood Reporter says DiCaprio has signed up to star in the film, the orginal being set in postwar Japan, following a young criminal who is being treated for tuberculosis by an alcoholic doctor.
Barbara DeFina and Scorsese would produce with DiCaprio; the later may also direct.
