Antonio Banderas Puts on his Dancing Shoes

The Hollywood Reporter says the movie is inspired by the true story of international ballroom dancer Pierre Dulane. Banderas will play a former professional dancer who volunteers to teach dance in New York. When his ballroom methods clash with his students' hip-hop instincts, he solves the problem by meeting them half-way to create a new style of dance and becomes their mentor in the process.
Dianne Houston wrote the screenplay and filming is due to start in Toronto at the end of spring.
