Casting for Mary Magdalene Feature

Juliette Binoche, Heather Graham, Forest Whitaker, and Matthew Modine will star in Abel Ferrara's religious-themed "Mary," currently filming in Rome, reports Variety.
The movie is about an actress who plays Mary Magdalene in a film, then continues to 'play' the role after shooting has been completed. The film-within-a-film is directed by a character named James Sparrow, who also plays the role of Christ in 'his' film. She travels to Jerusalem where she finds the horrors of war. The third character is Ted, the ambitious television presenter of a show about the Passion and Resurrect ion, who falls in love with the actress.
The cast also features Marion Cotillard and Gabriella Wright. The script was co-written by Simone Lageoles and Massimo Cortesi.
