Natalie Portman in Talks to Star in V for Vendetta

An adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel of the same name.'V for Vendett' is a story about loss of freedom and individuality, 'V for Vendetta' takes place in a totalitarian England following a devastating war that changed the face of the planet. In a world without political freedom, personal freedom and precious little faith in anything comes a mysterious man in a white porcelain mask who fights political oppressors through terrorism and seemingly absurd acts. It's a gripping tale of the blurred lines between ideological good and evil.Variety magazine reports that Portman will play the young woman he's rescued, or possibly kidnapped, from the secret police to join him.Warner Bros. intends to start production the first week of March in Berlin for a fall 2005 release date.Further details on the book and movie in our database.
