David Goyer to Direct DC Comics' The Flash

David Goyer, writer/director on Blade: Trinity and writer on the forthcoming Batman Begins , has signed up to write, produce and direct a movie adaptation of DC Comics' The Flash for Warner Bros. Pictures.Created by Gardner Fox and Harry Lampert, The Flash starts life as Police scientist Barry Allen. While working in his lab he was struck by lightning at the exact same time that he became doused in chemicals. But instead of scarring him or taking his life, this freak accident gave him a new one, as the Flash, the fastest man alive. "'Flash' is my favorite of the properties," said Goyer, "I think the character of the Flash, who moves faster than the speed of light, opens itself up to rich cinematic and story ideas."Source: Variety
