Peter Sarsgaard to Star in Jarhead

Peter Sarsgaard is set to star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx in Jarhead.
Sarsgaard will play Troy, a member of an elite Marine sniper unit who befriends and mentors scribe Swoff (Gyllenhaal). Foxx plays Sgt. Siekh, who heads up the sniper squadron that experiences the terror, humor and uncertainty of a fight in the blazing desert against an enemy they can't see.
Jarhaed is an adaptation of Anthony Swofford's Gulf War memoir, Sam Mendes is directing for Universal Pictures.
Production on Jarhead begins today.
