Christian Bale Starring in Harsh Times

Christian Bale is to star in Harsh Times, David Ayer's directorial debut.
The dark urban comedy, written by Ayer, is the story of a Marine who comes home from Iraq to start a marriage and civilian life but quickly becomes entangled with an old friend from South Central whose layabout ways have begun to catch up with him.
Freddy Rodriguez and Eva Longoria have also been cast.
Production on Harsh Times is due to begin in Los Angeles and Mexico at the end of January.
