Brando's son, Miko, issued a statement saying, "out of respect for my father, the services will be private. My family and I would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and words."
Brando died of lung failure at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at UCLA Medical Center, according to hospital spokeswoman Roxanne Moster.
He was born in Omagh 1924 and his career spanned over 50 years. From his first movie The Men in 1950 to his last, The Score in 2001. However, he will be remembered for his roles in A Street Car Named Desire, Apocalypse Now and The Godfather.
