Ali G to Play Aristocrat Charlie Mortdecai

Sacha Baron Cohen AKA Ali G is looking at an Inspector Clouseau type role drawn from a series of British comic thriller books by Kyril Bonfiglioli and Craig Brown about degenerate aristocrat Charlie Mortdecai.
The Mortdecai Mustache Mystery, would find Mortdecai working in the United States, where he is an art dealer by day and a thief by night.
The Mustache Mystery is one of the later books and not rated as highly with fans.
Eric Aronson would adapt the books.
