Anthony Minghella Talks The Ninth Life of Louis Drax

Anthony Minghella has been speaking on UK TV about his forthcoming adaptation of The Ninth Life of Louis Drax. He said he wanted to make more personal films and stay clear of big historical monsters. Describing Cold Mountain he said,"that might have been 2 hours to you, but for me it was five years".He also said that the bigger the production the more people wanted a finger in the pie, something he wants to move away from.Finally he said that he was worried about how many films he had left in him. Saying that if he continued with movies that take five years to make then he would only get another five or six done.The Ninth Life of Louis Drax is based on the forthcoming book of the same name by author Liz Jenson.The story of a family falling apart, told in the vivid voices of its comatose son and Dr. Dannachet as he is drawn into the Draxes' circle.
